My kids are getting older, and for Judah especially, we are finally entering the world of “big kid” toys. His play has been pretty low-tech up until now, but last week he gave me his holiday wish list, and it was filled with tech toy after tech toy with one major theme: robots. Packed with fun and games, this self-balancing robot speaks MinioneseTM the official Minion language, responds to clapping and hand gestures, and can be controlled from the Turbodave app on your compatible smartphone or tablet! Turbo Dave is super easy to set up – just download the app onto a compatible device, turn your Minion MiP on, and wait for it to pair. Once that happens, you are all set.
There are two different play modes: with and without the app. Using it without the app limits your play options to motion detected movements, but with the app you can control Turbo Dave like you would a remote control car, draw out a path for him to follow, have him talk, sing, make all kinds of sounds, and SO much more. Judah’s favorite thing to do is drawing out intricate paths for him to follow and watching him complete them! You can also play games using “cards” on the app that represent different characters, and Turbo Dave will interact with each character. And of course, he even has his own Fart Blaster!
Judah loves his Turbo Dave, and we even got a mini for Kaia, so they could play together. The best thing ever was the hour long giggle fest that happened when they put them together!
