I was invited to Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Village & Spa as part of the 2015 Social Media on the Sand conference.
It’s a brand new year, and I’ve been reflecting back on the highlights of 2015. One of my absolute favorite experiences was visiting Turks and Caicos and staying in the gorgeous Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort village and spa, and I have SO MANY photos to share! You know I live through my lens, so there are seriously hundreds of shots that I could bombard you with. But for now, let’s take a photo tour of the best island in the Caribbean! Also, as a little FYI: You know that I’m a camera snob, but I am including several GoPro and phone pictures in here, because I couldn’t bring my DSLR to everything.
Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort village and spa is located on Providenciales, which is just one of the many islands that make up Turks and Caicos. There are several resorts in that area, but non are as immaculate and amazing as Beaches. I have never experienced a more caring staff or customer oriented resort, and every inch of the place was decked out in fabulousness! Now let’s break this down. First, I want to show you a little of the resort grounds. There are four villages that make up the resort: Italian, French, Caribbean, and Key West. They are all amazing in their own way, with each offering its own unique charm. This is a luxury resort, so no matter what village you end up in there are numerous pools, restaurants, and top tier rooms in all. Now, let’s take a walk around the resort! Here are a few shots of the gorgeous Italian village and part of the water park area.
We stayed in a beachfront suite in the Caribbean village and it was amazing. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and I don’t think I’ve slept as well as I did that week in the last five years of my life! Here are a few shots around it. I wish I had gotten more, because the beauty of this place is just way too much to capture on one memory card!
I have to say that I was extremely pleased with our suite – Going into this I was hoping for at least a partial beach view, but when our concierge (yes, we had one!) walked us in and opened the blinds of our floor to ceiling windows I was speechless – right outside our huge patio was the gorgeous turquoise water of the Caribbean. I probably shed a tear because I don’t think there could have been a more perfect spot for a suite. You’ll see a walkthrough in the video at the end of this post, so let’s move on to what I really want to show you: the gorgeous outdoors! Here is my favorite view of the whole trip – it’s a “secret” spot at the top of the Key West village. You can see Sky restaurant on the left side of the image and the beautiful ocean beyond.
Each of the villages within the resort had more than one pool, but here was our “home base”. And it has a swim up bar, so yeah.
There were all kinds of activities and fun things to see, so here are a few randoms of some of my favorite areas.
There are WAY more that I would love to show you, but I’m not sure you want to see 60 photos here, so we’ll move along. And then there was the beach. Oh man, that beach!
And then the sunsets. Oh my gosh the sunsets. They bathed the entire beach in the most gorgeous golden haze!
Now comes the random photos that I don’t really have categories for, and then my super cool video tour of our trip at the bottom. Enjoy!
This video is a sort of “point of view” perspective. It’s a little shaky at times because it’s the first time I have used my GoPro for video, but I think it shows some cool highlights of our trip!
