I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for OshKosh B’gosh. I received a gift card to facilitate my shopping trip and to thank me for participating.
My kids are growing like weeds. It seems like I turned my back for a second and they magically transformed into actual people. I love it and hate it at the same time. I love it because the more they grow the more involved their personalities and little quirks are, they can talk to me and they do the most adorable and ridiculous things on a daily basis. But I miss having squishy babies to cuddle and tiny onesies to wash. With all this growing, we go through a lot of clothes. I don’t want to go broke over their wardrobe, but how do I get the most bang for my buck? Last week I visited OshKosh B’Gosh to stock up on seasonal essentials and I have some great tips to help keep the kids looking adorable without breaking the bank!
Bet On Basics
The first thing I do when shopping for a new season is to go ahead and get all the basics out of the way. You know, the super versatile pieces that go with what seems like everything. I make sure they don’t have hard to match patterns or out there colors, and I usually try to choose items that look great with a number of different styles. See this flutter sleeve top and girls leggings? They look fabulous together but each of them can be dressed up, accessorized, and worn with at least five different options already in her closet. Pretty smart, eh?
For Judah I like to stick with basic boys tees, classic plaids and a versatile pair of bottoms. I scored this entire outfit for $25, but I can get a number of different looks from just this one set! Doesn’t he look handsome?
Besides basics, your tot’s wardrobe should also include a few accent pieces that add a little flair to their ensemble. Check out these adorable striped flats – they were only $20. Could the be ANY cuter?! And in case you didn’t notice in my first photo, they have cupcakes on the bottom!
Get Trendy
Most clothing lines offer a bunch of different options around the same trend, so even if a piece isn’t really related to another they will still look great together. While we were on our shopping trip last week I felt like no matter what section I was looking in I could match it to something across the store, and that helps out a lot because I don’t have to choose this shirt that was made for those shorts and so on. Bright girls tunics, skinny pants and stripes galore are what this season is all about.
Save Big
When you go shopping for kids clothes, be sure you do your research. Check online sales, keep an eye out for seasonal mailers and use coupons like this one for 20% off at OshKosh B’Gosh. A lot of stores also offer discount codes to email subscribers, so get on those mailing lists!
I am SO in love with the adorable styles out there this season, and thanks to a great sale and smart shopping I got each of my kids 3 entire outfits without going over $100. I’d say that is a success! And just because I can’t get over how cute her new clothes are, I’ll leave you with some more adorableness. Happy shopping!
