Nuby recently sent me a cool Step-up Stool to review. I was planning to write about how good it is as a stool and add in some facts and cute photos, but that’s no fun! I mean, if you want general info you can easily find it on Nuby’s website. After seeing what my son really thinks of this stool I had to share – read on and I promise you won’t be disappointed!
As soon as I took it out of the package Judah claimed it. He thinks it rocks, and not just for being a stool. This thing can be anything! With the ability to hold up to 800 pounds this stool is crazy strong. Don’t worry about it cracking or breaking either, Judah has already put it through the ringer and it has come out completely unscathed. Cleaning is a snap, just wipe it down and you’re done. After he got over the initial excitement of this cool new present the first thing he did was use it as a snack tray. I usually let him watch 30 minutes of t.v. with his snack, and he always sets his food on the floor in front of him. Not anymore! The step-up stool is the perfect size for him to eat at.
Next up is the monster truck ramp. He discovered this one the other day and has been obsessed with sending things over the side ever since. He has quite the collection of toy cars and is always finding new ways to play with them!
There is also the art easel. The Step-up stool is a perfect height for toddlers to sit at and color, draw, finger paint and more! I don’t know about your kids, but when Judah colors he ends up going off the paper and coloring the floor/rug/table (pretty much everything). Having an elevated surface saves my carpet from being drawn on.
Number four is a fun one – a dinosaur (or whatever your tot chooses) battle arena. I am not one to encourage violence, but lets face it, toddlers like to make their toys play fight. Judah likes to put his dinosaurs on top and make them push each other off the sides – I guess whichever falls off is the loser!
Finally we have a train tunnel. My kid is crazy about trains! He freaks when Thomas comes on PBS, he gets excited when he sees real trains around town and plays conductor with his toy train just about every day. You can imagine how much he loved discovering his brand new train tunnel!
As you can see, toddlers will turn the most unsuspecting things into endless fun with tons of possibilities! I am sure Judah will keep finding cool things to do with his step stool, and Kaia will probably even get in on the action since she’s starting to stand up on EVERYthing she sees now. I am pretty sure my kids think I am a rock star for giving them this one!
You can buy the Nuby Step-up Stool at Buybabydirect for just under $10.
