It seems like Cheerios™ has been around for as long as I can remember. I grew up eating them for breakfast, and now that I have kids they are doing the same. Back when I was little there wasn’t nearly as many flavor options to choose from, but one thing has remained the same over the years – they are wholesome and delicious! I love sharing them with my family, and now thanks to their “Buy a box. Give a free box.” program I can also share them with others for free! How cool is that?
To send a free box all you need to do is look for this red sticker on specially marked boxes, head to your computer and enter the code found on the inside here.
From there you can enter your code, your name/email and the name/email of the person you are gifting to.
After that you can enter a special message and send it off! Your friend will get an email with instructions to claim their box and their coupon will show up in the mail. Easy peasy, right! I love this program, and I love being able to give a free box of Cheerios™! For my recipient I chose a fellow crafty Social Fabric blogger who also happens to be a mom of four! Her name is Sara and she blogs over at Major Hoff Takes A Wife, so check her out and get inspired by her cute posts!
Cheerios™ Treat Bars
You know how much I love sharing easy recipes, and since I had a new box of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios™ on hand I decided to whip up something delicious with them! It only takes a few minutes to make, and this is a no-bake recipe so you don’t have to worry about heating up the oven. Don’t they look delicious?
Here is what you need:
- 2 cups Apple cinnamon Cheerios™
- 2 cups caramel pieces
- 1 cup melting chocolate
- 1 cup white melting chocolate
- chocolate chips to sprinkle
Your first step is going to be to melt your chocolate and pour it in the bottom of a small baking pan, spreading out evenly. Set that aside and melt your caramel, then mix it with your Cheerios™.
Add that to your pan, making sure to spread it out evenly.
Next, sprinkle on some chocolate chips. Lastly, melt your white chocolate and drizzle it all over your baking pan.
Pop it in the fridge for at least 15 minutes, cut into squares and then serve!
Yum! You can purchase specially marked Cheerios™ at your local Walmart, and don’t forget to give a box!
