Apple Pie Popcorn

September 26, 2015 by Jess MillionMoments

Fall is here and I’m celebrating with a super easy, super delicious recipe that is bursting with seasonal flavor. What is it? Oh, just the most amazing Apple Pie Popcorn you’ve ever tasted. I am always a fan of a good popcorn recipe, and I love using mix-ins and jazzing it up with different flavors. This recipe is all about the flavors of Fall, and it is super easy to prepare!

For this recipe I am taking a super shortcut and using pre-popped popcorn just because. Being a super busy mom, I like to cut all the time I can, so yeah. Also? I found the most amazing popcorn in the chip aisle at my grocery store – it’s called BOOMCHICKAPOP and it tastes.like.heaven. For real. I love that they are full of quality ingredients and are gluten free and non-GMO.

It comes in several flavors like Sea Salt, White Cheddar, Lightly Sweet, and the Sweet & Salty variety that I am using. It is amazing by itself, but I’m in the mood for something a little extra, so I am bringing in some extra ingredients.

Here is what you need:

  • 1 bag melting caramels
  • 1 package white Candiquick
  • 1 bag BOOMCHICKAPOP popcorn in Sweet & Salty flavor
  • 1 cup dried apples, cut into small pieces
  • cinnamon to taste

So to make our apple pie popcorn you need to pour your BOOMCHICKAPOP onto a large baking sheet lined with wax paper in a single layer. Now sprinkle in your apple pieces. Next, melt your caramel and *lightly* pour over in ribbons. The popcorn is already sweet as it is, so you don’t want to overpower the flavor by covering it in caramel.

Next do the same for your candiquick and sprinkle a light dusting of cinnamon on top.

Ta-da! You’ve got yourself some amazing and *super easy* apple pie popcorn! Talk about bringing the BOOM, right?!
