Easy Fruit and Cracker {Skinny} Cake Batter Dip

June 18, 2015 by Jess MillionMoments

I’m sharing this fun snack dip as part of a sponsored post for SocialStars. #GoldfishTales

If you have kids, then I’m sure you are familiar with the snack time struggle. If not, this is how it goes. Snack time rolls around, you ask your kids what they want, and the answer is something ridiculous like cookies, candy or ice cream. Then you offer something healthy instead which is followed by the meltdown of the century because they just have to have something that will send them into an afternoon long frenzy, resulting in an epic crash and burn. Yeah, it’s rough. You already know I don’t agree with sugary snacks for kids, but sometimes I feel like there should be a little indulging every once in a while in order to prevent a mutiny around here and to let them know that yes, I’m okay with fun snacks. Luckily I’m pretty creative when it comes to faking sweet treats, so I decided to come up with a better for you dip paired with our favorite go-to of Goldfish® crackers. This recipe is super easy, and I love letting Judah help me make it too!

First I have to mention these grahams. You know how much I love Goldfish crackers as a kids snack – they aren’t too salty, too sweet, or too indulgent. They come in a fun shape and it seems like they have a flavor for everything like their new Honey Goldfish Grahams. These babies have just the right hint of sweetness with a touch of honey, and guess what? they go oh-so-perfectly with my dip recipe.

So, what is this dip? Well, it’s really more of a dressed up yogurt that tastes like a bowl of cake batter. Sound yummy? I think so! Here is what you need:

  • 2 cups vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup whipped topping (you can use regular but I use light)
  • 1 cup boxed vanilla cake mix
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles

This is so incredibly easy – all you have to do is whisk together all ingredients and then chill for at least an hour. It doesn’t get any easier than that, right?

Once chilled, serve with Goldfish grahams or your favorite fruit and enjoy!

This dip is great for kids who want a little treat, but parents who want to feel better about what they are eating. It’s a great way to get picky kids to eat fruit, and it also goes great on a party table!

Want to check out even more fun from Goldfish?
