I used baby products by JOHNSON’S® to care for my little one as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #johnsonspartners
Holy heck, y’all, there are only a few days left until Christmas! If you are like me then you no doubt waited until the last minute to do the bulk of your gift shopping and are now frantically trying to pull something out of nowhere. I have always been a bit of a procrastinator, but whoa. This year snuck up on me quicker than ever! When Judah was born I didn’t really know anyone else with kids, but over the past year a lot of my friends have had littles so I have quite a few babies to shop for. Most of them are first time parents, so when deciding what to gift I really thought about what I would have loved to get for my bundle of joy that was both fun and practical. I came up with this adorable baby bath essentials kit that is perfect for the last minute shopper (like myself) but also filled with bath time baby products that really have some thought behind them. Cute, right?
So lets talk about what a baby bath essentials kit should have. Obviously the most important product to include is a great body wash. I grew up using JOHNSON’S® products myself, and since their new formula is safe, hypoallergenic, paraben and phthalate free I feel confident in using it on my own babies delicate skin. Plus it’s got a great new smell! They offer a pretty large variety of body washes, but I went with the head-to-toe baby wash because it is an all around solution in one bottle.
Since I had a few bottles of the head-to-toe baby wash on hand I thought it would be fun to use one and create some bath paints for the older babies who can sit up on their own in the tub. My kids have been using these paints for a while now and they love them!
Want to make some for your own little ones? They are SO super easy and need only three ingredients, so you can make as many as you want without breaking the bank. Plus, they add a whole new element of fun to bath time. Here is what you need:
- 1/4 cup JOHNSON’S® baby head-to-toe wash (a bottle will make around 3 portions)
- 1/4 tsp flour
- a few drops of gel based food coloring
So, all you have to do is combine those three ingredients in a small bowl and stir until evenly blended. It will bubble a bit while stirring but that goes away in a few minutes.
Pour into a small plastic jar and you are all set! The coverage isn’t super thick, but the kids love it and it washes off walls with a little bit of water.
I also chose these super soft and squishy bath toys, because what baby doesn’t giggle at squishy toys?
And then of course no bath kit is complete without an animal shaped towel in a fun color, right? There are other great items that you can always include in a bath essentials kit, but I really wanted to keep it small and cover the basics here and I think it turned out absolutely adorable!
