If you are a regular here then you know I rarely ever participate in giveaways. I’m not very good at them, but who doesn’t love a great contest every now and then? With the holidays coming up everyone could use a little financial boost, so I have teamed up with three amazing fellow bloggers to bring you a giveaway for $500 worth of Amazon gift cards! This contest is 100% sponsored by us, and every 12-ish days we will be giving away a gift card to Amazon.com to a lucky winner. That could be YOU! There will be four rotations and with each rotation the gift card amounts will increase. We will be giving away $500 worth of gift cards in total and as a bonus to our extra loyal viewers we will be rewarding you with a ‘secret word’ entry to be used the following weeks. Hold onto that secret word because it can be used in round 2, 3 and 4!

Summer writes Dirty Floor Diaries.
I was born in Orlando, Florida but raised in the most beautiful small town on earth; Juneau, Alaska. If you ask me where I’m from, I’ll probably tell you Alaska, although the answer is obviously just a bit more complicated than that.
I’ve been told God broke the mold when he made me. I’m willing to bet they’re right ‘cuz at that time, no existing mold had a woman with a teenie tiny waist and these enormous ole’ hips set atop Venus Williams legs. Neither before had he ever made a woman who was so girly who didn’t care much for shoes or purses, but loved football and basketball more than the dudes.
My favorite things to do are writing, painting, reading, crocheting, snow skiing, and hiking. I am happiest when it is below 70* outside, and I despise the beach. Having tiny granules of sand stuck in all of my creases and crevices, while adding to my skin cancer sum is not my idea of a good time. Hiking up a mountain through the woods, listening to the busy sounds of the forest and the pounding of my heart in my head is bliss.
The goal of this blog is to continue that whole therapy thing, but to also bring you honest product reviews, exciting and inexpensive DIY projects for your kids, to keep you abreast of how an independent woman-turned-stay-at-home-mom can become the Happiest Mommy on the Block; to introduce you to mouth-watering grain-, gluten-, and dairy free recipes; and to inspire you to get up and get moving. Welcome to The Dirty Floor Diaries!
Danielle authors SimmWorks Family Blog
This blog follows our lives as we figure out what works for us… and what doesn’t. My name is Danielle and I am a work at home mom in San Diego who enjoys raising two young children, a son born in February 2009 and a daughter born in December 2010. We love to share the activities we love to do, parenting philosophies, and our personal journey to a healthier life. I also enjoy finding fun places for our family to go and what products make our lives easier so that I can share what I love with my readers.
I originally started this blog shortly after finding out I was pregnant a second time after having a miscarriage. I love what the blog has become and cannot wait to see what it will be in the future. Every parent should realize that they are not alone; there are others out there who share the same struggles, joys, and experiences. We’re here to share our story.
