January 15, 2014 by Jess MillionMoments

With Valentines day creeping up I have started thinking about what I am going to do for all the people I love.  You see ,Valentine’s day isn’t just about being romantic with your significant other, it is also about sharing your heart with the people who matter to you.  You know by now that I share my love through handmade items and delicious food, so check out this ridiculously easy DIY phone case I thought up.  Serious cuteness, right?!  Read on to make one for yourself!

DIY Decorated Phone Case

This craft only takes a few minutes and costs less than $5 depending on what kind of case you are using. You can check at your local craft store, but I bought mine for $1.99 on Amazon.  Besides a clear phone case you will need tissue paper, self adhesive laminating sheets (found in the office section at most stores) and scissors.

easy valentine craft - simple and costs under $5!

Start by cutting hearts out of your tissue paper.  Scrapbooking paper is great for this as well, or you can use pretty much any type of paper you like as long as it isn’t very thick.  Your hearts don’t have to be perfect, I made mine by folding a scrap in half and cutting around a curve.

Arrange them however you want on the INSIDE of your phone case.  I did a cute vertical design.

Next, trace around your case on the laminating paper. (I realize now I should have done that before putting my hearts in, but oh well!)  Cut out a piece as little smaller than your shape, making sure you cut out a notch for your camera hole.

Peel off the sticky side of your laminating sheet and VERY carefully apply it to the inside of your case on top of your hearts.  You won’t get a second shot at this, so make sure not to put it on wonky and try to avoid bubbles by going slow and pressing down evenly.  I started from the bottom, and had a credit card ready to press down with as I went.

Smooth it over one more time with a card and you are finished!  How adorable is that?!
