Finding the perfect cloth diaper is a lot like finding the perfect pair of jeans – it’s all about your what you are looking for. What is awesome for one might not work for someone else, and it’s hard to decide what really works unless you try it yourself. Sadly, not everyone lives near a cloth diaper store, and even if you do they probably only carry a few well known brands. So what about all the other gazillions out there? Well, that’s where I come in.
I started doing reviews on this blog out of my love for cloth diapers and wanting to share lesser known but just as awesome brands with people who would otherwise never hear of them. I have featured some truly awesome diapers here, both well known and not, and I’m super happy to share the Tots Bots Easy Fit all in one with you today! The storybook inspired print is called Chicken Little and I just love it!
The Tots Bots Easy Fit diaper is an All-In-One system featuring a waterproof outer shell and an extremely soft minky soaker sewn into the inside liner. There is a pocket that you can fold the soaker down into, or you can even fold it down and lay it on top. Don’t worry about it touching baby’s skin, the soft minky won’t cause irritation. If you need extra absorption you can easily stuff an extra liner into the pocket as well.
I love that minky is showing up in diapers everywhere now, it’s so much more versatile than microfiber and it boasts the same absorbency without the bulk or need to use a barrier due to skin irritation. It also has stronger stain resistance, and we all hate diaper stains! The Easy Fit offers both snaps and hook & loop as closure options. I’m normally a snaps girl because Judah always tried to take his diapers off, but he is out of diapers now and Kaia (I hope) won’t have that problem.
The true highlight of this diaper for me is the fit. Kaia is 15.5 pounds, just over 26 inches and it fits her like a glove. It isn’t very bulky, and even though I have the rise snapped down there isn’t any bulging fabric anywhere. She has chunky little thighs and the leg openings are snug without leaving marks. It is wide enough between the legs to accommodate even the chunkiest little babes, but not too wide that she looks awkward. I am not a fan of narrow diapers – even with Judah being super skinny I always felt like the narrow ones were prone to leaks, and this one is just right. It can easily fit babies from the newborn stage all the way to potty training.
If you are looking for the ease of an AIO with the versatility of a pocket then the Tots Bots Easy Fit is a great choice. It is a dependable, easy to use diaper that I know will stand up to all of our diapering needs!
