Heelys: Not just for kids!

July 28, 2012 by Jess MillionMoments

When you hear the word Heelys what do you think of?  Kid’s shoes, right?  Well not anymore.  This season they are releasing several new lines that are revamped versions of their classic styles and also a few new style just for ladies.  This is also the first time they’ve ever made a shoe just for women!  I’ve written about Heelys before, so I was excited when they asked me to work with them again.  I was sent a pair of Joggers from their new Fall 2012 line, and I just love them!

As a mom, one thing I look for in a shoe (besides style) is comfort.  I’ve got to be able to keep up with a toddler all day and not have to worry about my feet hurting after a few hours.  I can definitely wear these shoes for a long time without any problems.  They aren’t too heavy, have a great fit and ample cushioning.

I love the look of this shoe.  I have a pretty casual style, so it fits right in with my wardrobe whether it be a denim mini or jeans and a tank top.  The colors are great, but I do wish there were more options.  I would love to see a pale green or blue where the pink is. The outside is made of suede so they are really easy to clean.  If I spill something on them (or if Judah decides to dump his milk all over them) I can just wipe with a damp cloth and be done!

Like all Heelys, these came with removable wheels.  I know a number of people have shied away from this brand before because they thought the wheels weren’t removable, but that’s not true!  I actually rarely even used the wheels in my old pair and probably won’t at all in these, but either way this is a quality shoe.  For function and a bit of fun, Heelys fits the bill!
