Fuzzibunz One Size Elite Pocket Diaper

July 4, 2012 by Jess MillionMoments

I’ve been a fan of the Fuzzibunz Perfect Size Pocket Diapers for a while. They are relatively inexpensive, have an easy fit, and come in cute colors. Now that I have another baby though, I’ve got to branch out and look for more than just one specific type of fit.  I’ve got to look for a diaper that can see both my kids through to potty training. (That’s roughly four years of diaper changes!)  In my search to find the perfect multi-baby diaper I decided to give the Fuzzibunz One Size Elite pocket diaper a try.

The first thing I noticed about this diaper was the inserts.  It comes with a large and small insert, but they are Minky instead of your basic Microfiber  (what virtually every pocket diaper on the planet comes standard with).  I’ve never used minky inserts before, but I must say that now I’m sold!  Not only do they boast better stain resistance, but are they are so soft and actually hold a hefty amount of pee as well!

At first glance the Fuzzibunz Elite looks like any other diaper, but it has a hidden advantage above the rest in adjustability. It has internal elastic to adjust not only the leg openings but the waist as well!  Just slide the elastic to your desired size and secure with the button.  This is my favorite feature of the diaper compared to other brands, because sometimes it’s difficult to get an exact fit with snap-down sizing.  Also, with the adjustable waist I feel I can get a much more customized fit on each of my babies.  Fuzzibunz has also taken an extra step to extend the life of the diaper by including replacement elastic with each one in case it ever wears out.  That comes in handy for people planning on more than one child!

Now lets get down to performance.  My first tester is Judah (previously known as Little J).  He is 33 inches tall and weighs 25 pounds.  I’ve got both the leg openings and the waistband at the second largest setting, and while it fits perfectly now, there’s not much room to grow.  That isn’t really an issue for us though, as he won’t get much bigger before potty training.  The diaper lasted a little over two hours before I had to change it and his bottom was dry even though the diaper was full of pee.

Next we have Kaia.  She’s around 8.5 pounds and 20.5 inches long.  Isn’t she cute with her big fluffy butt?  I have the legs and waistband at the smallest setting for her, and even though she is tiny I can still get it to fit.  I changed her around two hours also, but I could have held out for three.

I’m pretty impressed by the size range of this diaper, both in length and width, and can confidently say that it is a great option for parents with multiple babies.  The only possible downside of this (which wasn’t a problem for us) is how narrow it is between the legs, so if you have a very large or chunky toddler it might be a bit lacking in coverage.  Otherwise, this is a great all around option and I hope you check it out!  The diaper featured in this post retails for $19.95.
