Yep, that’s me looking huge. While I love my growing belly, I’m spiraling down into self pity over something a clueless old lady said to me yesterday at the hospital. You’ll have to wait to hear it though, I’m saving that little gem for my next post.

Here’s what Babycenter has to say about week 24:
How your baby’s growing:
How your life’s changing:
In the past few weeks, the top of your uterus has risen above your belly button and is now about the size of a soccer ball. Most women have a glucose screening test (also called a glucose challenge test or GCT) between now and 28 weeks. This test checks for gestational diabetes, a pregnancy-related high-blood-sugar condition.

Symptoms: Oh the heartburn! All that tomato sauce I’ve been loving so much? Not anymore. It’s out to get me with its burning. I’m also having tons of pelvic pain, like in my bones, and it’s making carrying my toddler pretty difficult.
Weight gain: I’ve packed on a few more, which puts me at around 14 total.
Cravings: Mexican food. And cream cheese.
Medical stuff: I had a level 2 ultrasound this week to check on the short cervix, and everything is looking great! I’m really happy to hear that because It would have been impossible to be on bed rest and take care of Little J at the same time. They measured baby girl and estimated her at about one and half pounds, and I also got some really cute 4-d pics of her face! It was really cool to see her looking like an actual baby instead of a creepy alien this time.
